• | Yes Bank posted a 56% rise in net profit during the April-June quarter, helped by higher credit growth that pushed up interest income for the bank. Net profit for the quarter rose to Rs. 1.56 bn, from Rs. 1.00 bn a year ago. (BS) |
• | Kotak Mahindra Bank reported a 27% jump in net profit at Rs. 3.28 bn for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. It had a net profit of Rs. 2.57 bn in the April-June quarter of FY10, the bank said in a statement. (BS) |

• | Malaysia's inflation rate climbed in June to the highest level in more than a year, an increase that may be augmented as the government cuts fuel and food subsidies.
